UP FEIT Among Hungary's First to Launch an Artificial Intelligence Engineering MSc Programme
Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of almost every area of life, creating a growing demand for professionals who not only know how to use AI systems but also understand and develop them. In response to this need, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Pécs will be among the first higher education institutions in Hungary to launch an MSc programme in Artificial Intelligence Engineering starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.
The programme's unique feature is its strong focus on real-world applications across engineering, health sciences, and natural sciences, while providing a solid foundation in mathematics and computer science. Students will learn not only how to apply AI technologies but also how to design, develop, test, and evaluate AI-based solutions.
The curriculum will cover key areas such as machine learning, neural networks, cybersecurity, robotics, VR technologies, cloud-based systems, and high-performance computing. Special emphasis will also be placed on the ethical, legal, and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
The programme is supported by the University's Faculty of Sciences and an extensive network of industry partners, ensuring a practice-oriented education and the transfer of future-proof knowledge. Interest in the new MSc programme is already significant, and applications will be accepted during Hungary's summer supplementary admission period.
